These, seven Yemeni and one Syrian, “committed multiple crimes, such as terrorism,” according to state agency SPA. It was announced that some of those executed were members of ISIS and Al-Qaeda, and some of them were Houthi members in Yemen.
Human rights organizations say there is no fair trial in Saudi Arabia.
According to SPA, those executed were tried by 13 judges and went through a three-stage judicial process.
The convicts were accused of planning attacks against vital economic targets, killing security forces, torture, kidnapping, rape and arms trafficking.
Amnesty International has declared that Saudi Arabia is the fifth country to execute the most people in 2020.
Ahead of Saudi Arabia on the list were China, Iran, Egypt and Iraq.
Last year, 69 people were executed in Saudi Arabia.
