SAS leaves the stock exchange – Air France and KLM enter as major shareholders

French-Dutch airline Air France-KLM, the Danish state and the investment companies Castlelake and Lind Invest become new major owners of SAS, the airline announced in a press release.

“SAS will continue its operations and provide its services to customers as usual during the implementation of the transaction”.¨

Leaving the stock market

This means that the SAS share will be delisted from the stock exchange starting next year. According to Norwegian E24 it concerns 255,000 shareholders.

“Thus, it is expected that there will be no value left for existing shareholders in SAS AB and the compensation to the holders of commercial hybrid bonds is expected to be relatively small,” the press release states.

SAS describes the deal as an important milestone in its reconstruction plan.
