Sarnia Police, Called to the Park on July 8, 2023, Shortly After Midnight Amid Reports of An Assault, Said at the time “A 14-Year-Old Female Had Been Violently Assaulted.”
Nevaeh Brestte, 18, was charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and uttering death threats. Bressette Pleaded Guilty in December to Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Uttering A Death Threat, Along with Linked to Other Incidents, and was sentenced to almost Two Years of House Arrest.
Justice Mark Hornblower imposed the Sentence Bresette’s Lawyer and the Prosecutor Both Suggestized due to share to her being a young indigenous Woman with no prior criminal record. But after watching videos of the Assault, which Hornblower Called Vicious and Violent, he tipped out she easily could have to prison.
“It’s been a long time since i’ve see anything as disturbing as what i saw in those videos,” he said in december.

Bressette beat the girl with a cast she had on her arm, kicked her while she was down and stomped on her head multiple time. Other people in the area yelled at bressette to stop, but before she Did She Said, “If I Get (Expaletive) Charged for this You’re (Expletive) MURDERED.”
The Girl, Who Could Be Heard Saying She Didn’t Know What She Did Wrong, was Taken to Hospital With Various Injuries Including A Broken Nose.
Bressette doesn’t have an independent recollection of What Happened and has mental health health, Her Lawyer Said.
The House Arrest Senge Included Several Rules Such As Only Leaving Once A Week to Get Groceries and Other Necessities, GPS Tracking, Staying Away from Her Victim, and Keeping the Peace and Being of Good Behaviour.

“They are all mandate terms, so they all have to be followed. Failure to follow any of the terms Violate The Order and Could Result in Your Arrest and Detention,” Hornblower Bondéed Her in December.
Bressette was arrested less Than a Month Later and Busht Back to Court After Being Caught Stealing from walmart. She was sentenced to a couple of Weeks behind bars for theft, then B3wer back in front of Hornblower Last Week to Find Out What Willd Happen To The Rest of Her House Arrest Senge As She Broke the Rule of Keeping the Peace.
There was a good luck she could’ve served all 21 months remaining behind bars.
Hornblower told bressette when he first name on his short list on the morning of March 17, he Wondered What was going through her mind.
“If, for At Momme, Any of Us Believed that you were simple to thumb your nose at it, do what you want to do, I can ensure you that conditional sentence never would maked have been imposed,” he said.
The Judge Decided to Sentence Her To 14 Days in Jail, then Allow Her to Go Home and Serve the Rest There. But he bonded her if she breaks the Rules Again that likely won’t be the case.
“Hopefully the time that you’ve Spent in Custody Already Plus The Time I’m About to Impose Will Drive That Home Message,” He Said. “I Hope You Got The Point Now.”
