Sarnia school staff take pies in the face to aid

A row of 20 teachers and other staff at Sarnia’s Sacred Heart elementary school put on shower caps and goggles June 27 to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Pupils bought raffle tickets for a chance to deliver a whipped cream pie to the face of staff members, and also bought frozen treats. They raised $2,077 during the event held in memory of two Sacred Heart pupils.

Pupils gathered in the school gym at the end of the day to watch and cheer as the raffle winners lined up to deliver the pies.
