Sarnia Rotarians offering Action Grant funding

The Rotary Club of Sarnia is again seeking applicants for its Action Grant program.

Grants are given to groups who wish to make a difference in the community.

Previous recipients include the Women’s Interval Home, the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton, St. Joseph’s Hospice, Family Counseling Centre, Community Living, Kiwanis Kineto Theater (Forest) and the YMCA Jerry McCaw Family centre.

Nearly $100,000 in total funding has been given out as part of the program.

The deadline to apply for this round of funding is Aug. 15.

All applications will be considered, though the club says it prefers projects that focus on improving the quality of life in Sarnia-Lambton.

“We’re delighted to be able to announce this additional round,” said club president Rick Marsh. “We’ve found that there are many diverse needs in the community and we want to hear about them, and wherever we can, we want to help.”

Guidelines and the application form can be found at www.rotarysarnia.com/page/request-for-fundingand applications should be submitted by email to [email protected].

Selected applicants will be contacted by the club after the deadline. For more information, contact the Rotary office at [email protected].
