Police in Sarnia are searching for a male suspect in an attempted sexual assault Wednesday morning in a home on Roger Street.
Police said a man is alleged to have entered the home at about 4 am and attempted to sexually assault a woman.
“The victim was able to defend herself and the suspect fled,” police said in a news release.
The woman wasn’t injured, police added.
Police are looking for a white man in his 30s who was wearing a black jacket, black jogging pants and had tattoos on his hands, a goatee and shorter hair,
Officers with the criminal investigations branch and forensics identification unit examined the scene and canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and surveillance video, police said.
“We would like to remind the public to ensure that your residence is secured properly by locking all windows and doors, and that alarms and security systems are activated, when possible,” police said.
