Police said they were called at 1 pm Friday to Confederation and Stuart streets, where a 22-year-old woman, who wasn’t dressed for the cold weather, was frantically running up to a home saying she had been kidnapped. Officers learned earlier that day two men and a woman, one of whom was carrying an axe, entered the woman’s home
“There was an interaction within the residence where the (woman) was assaulted and taken to a waiting vehicle driven by a third male. She was held within that vehicle against her will and continued to be assaulted,” police said Sunday.
The woman was eventually released and pushed out of the vehicle while it was stopped. That’s when she ran to a house looking for help, police said.
Officers found the vehicle and one of the suspects at a home on Brock Street.
