A Sarnia Man Will Be Sentenced this Spring for His Role in the Vicious Beating of A Man Three Years Ago in Germain Park.

Dale McCauley was set to go to trial this week in Sarnia’s Superior Court of Justice On Charges Including Two Counts of Assault with a Weapon or Causing Bodily Harm and Single Charge of Uttering Threats and Robbery, According to a short docket. Instead He Pleaded Guilty Wednesday to a Single Count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and the Rest of the Charges Will Be Dropped after he’s sentenced in April.

Defense Lawyer Jim Dean Told Superior Court Justice Russell Raikes he and the Crown will not be suggesting the Same Sentence.

The Man Tried to Flee, But Fell and was swarmed. He was kicked and puched repeatedly and initially tried to fight back, but gave up and proteced his head.

He was Struck Multiple Times with His Own Skateboard.

He Eventually Struggled to his feet and Fled While One Person Threatened to Kill Him. He Jumped a Fence and Landed in the Yard of A Nearby Bright Street Home, Where The Person Living There Came Out To Help Him.

Covered in Blood, The Man was Taken to Hospital With A Gass Over His Left Eye and Bruises All Over His Upper Body. Police Called to the Scene Found Blood Droplets and a Bloody Handprint on the Air Force Statue. Part of the Guesome Attack was captured on video, which was played in short.

McCauley was arrested on seven. 11, 2022. While Pulling Him Over in a Vehicle, Police Notice HE was wearing the same shoes he was wearing in the video.
