After Rheal Galipeau Pleaded Guilty Last Week to Possessing Para-Fluorofentanyl and Methamphetamine for Trafficking in the July 3 Incident, His Lawyer Told A Judge He Likely Won’t Seek the Same Sentence As The Crown When The Case Resumes Later This Year.

“The sentence that he will ultimately receive will be lengthy and he does understand that,” Defense Lawyer Joseph Stoesser Said.
The Case Was Adjourned to Early May, But Sentencing Won’t Take Place Until after that. An agreed stattement of facts will be read later, too.
An Officer Arrested A Man Wanted On Warrant For Theft and Breaching Probation Near Exmouth and East Streets About 3:45 PM July 3, Sarnia Police Said at the time. A Search Found 61 Grams of Crystal Methamphetamine and 135 Grams of Fentanyl with a combined street value of $ 23,500, Drug paraphernalia and a folding knife. The man was under a probation order not to possess weapons, police said.

Galipeau Pleaded Guilty Last Week Before Justice Mark Poland, Who Had Sentenced Him Multiple Times in 2023.
Galipeau First Plead Guilty in March 2023 to Using A Stolen Credit Card, Assault With A Weapon, Trespassing At Night, Possessing Break-In Tools, Breaching Bail, Three Counts of theft and Two Counts of Breaching Probation, and Drew Just Shy of Eight Mound.
In July 2023, Galipeau Got Another Three Months Behind Bars for Mischief, Theft and Assault. Poland Told Him at the time he had an unfortuunate prior criminal record and bonded him if he keeps coming back to short, his sentences would get long.
“Commit more offer, you go to get more time in jail. It’s simple,” The Judge Said.
