The Sarnia-Based Business Group was the Fastest Growing Chamber, Among Those with more than 500 Members, According to A Survey for the Chamber of Trade Executives of Canada.
It’s a “Testament to the chamber champions we have in this community and our team here for all the hard work they are therefore,” Said Local Ceo Carrie McEachran.

The Local Chamber, Which is Celebrating its 120th Anniversary This Year, Has 587 Members in the City and Across the Rest of Lambton County, She Said.
“Historically, it was always surround that numbers“ the chamber struggled through covid, ”and the number had died to little more than 400 in 2022, mceachran said.

“We are meaningful Growth Over the Past Couple of Years,” She Said.
“I think, after covid, business were really just wanting to get out and network and support each other and get the community and business up and thriving again,” McEachran Said.
Membership Ranges from Large Industries to Small Businesses Throughout the County. “We Are Finding the Biggest Increase in our Membership is Those Smaller Businesses,” She Said
MCEACHRAN WAS A NEW CEO FOR THE NOT-PORFIT Group Supporting The Local Business Community in 2022 and staff SPPEN the Year Talking With Members and Nonmberers to Learn What Their Needs We, McEachran Said.
Those Needs include “Creating More Opportunities for Advocacy” and “To be in the same Room as our Provincial Local, Federal Politicians,” Along with Networking Opportunities, She Said.

One Way the Chamber Responded To The Desire For Networking Opportunities was recreating a local young professionals’ Network for those just Starting Businesses, McEachran Said.

Membership Advantages Included Knowning “Your Brand is out there,” and the potential for Retrarals and “Business-to-Business Opportunities,” She Said.
When it comes to advocacy, the chamber receives a good reception when it it approaches governs on behalf of its members, mceachran said.
“For Municipal Local Leaders and Our MPP and MP, They’re Always Great to Listen to Us,” She Said. “Even if it’s something they don it agree with, they’re always will to take the call and listene and support business, as they can.”
Recently, the Chamber Hosted Its Annual State of Lambton Business Breakfast featuring local Mayors and community leaders, and in January it Hosted a Breakfast with sarnia-lambton mpp bob bob bailey and energy minister Stephen lecce.

“Right now, the relationshipship with our Friends over the border seems to be what we hearing the most about,” mceachran said about what’s on the minds of chamber members.
