Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce announces business awards

Bluewater Power was named business of the year Friday at the 32nd Outstanding Business Achievement Awards organized by the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce.

“So honored to be the proud recipient of the Chamber of Commerce business of the year award,” the municipally-owned company said in a Twitter post Friday evening. “Thank you to our Bluewater family for making this possible.”

This year’s awards gala was held at the Sunbridge Hotel in Point Edward.

Laura Louise Persichetti, of Royal Arts Healing Academy, was named entrepreneur of the year.

Other winners were:

– Tourism Sarnia Lambton, member of the year;

– Alzheimer Society of Sarnia Lambton, non-profit of the year;

– Lambton College, innovation award;

– Doug Krall Farms Ltd., agribusiness award;

– Cabot Canada Ltd., health, safety and environmental leadership award;

– Bluepoint Public Relations, inclusivity award;

– Studio Q Designs, young professional award;

– Pathways Health Centre, cool place to work award;

– Hanna Eroglu, Lambton College, customer service, individual award;

– Dynamic Graffix Signs and More Inc., customer service, business award.
