Sarnia-Lambton chamber names OBAA winners

Sarnia-Lambton’s chamber of commerce presented a dozen business awards to the community Friday.

There were 169 nominees in this year’s Outstanding Business Achievement Awards, officials said in a news release, noting more than 300 people attended a gala at the Dante Club for the 34th awards.

“We extend our deepest congratulations to all the award recipients who have demonstrated excellence, innovation and leadership within our vibrant business community,” chamber officials said in a news release, also congratulating nominees.

“It is an extraordinary honor to be recognized by your colleagues and customers, and your contributions help strengthen the fabric of our local economy.

The 2024 winners are:

•Cabot Canada Ltd – large business of the year

•Mainstreet Credit Union – medium business of the year

•Vibe Community Connections – small business of the year

•Duncan Viragos – entrepreneur of the year

•Women’s Interval Home – non-profit of the year

•Tarin Oxley – member of the year

•Crystal Hordyk – excellence in customer service by an individual

•TransAlta – green business award

•Lisa Isaac HR Professionals – inclusivity award

•LaSalle Agri – agri-business award

•Great Lakes Refill Company – innovation award

•Jenna Horton – young professional award
