Sarnia Lambton Celebration of Lights returns to Centennial Park

A large crowd gathered Saturday evening in Sarnia’s Centennial Park for the official lighting of the 2023 Sarnia-Lambton Celebration of Lights.

A band playing Christmas music, holiday characters in costumes, vendors, and lighting countdown and fireworks were part of the opening night.

The celebration, which fills a section of the waterfront park with lighted displays, has been a Sarnia tradition for nearly 40 years.

The lights will be on evening through the holidays.

A volunteer board that runs the celebration also organizes a home Christmas lighting contest that is now underway. Information can be found on the celebration’s website, celebrationoflights.com.
