Sarnia Offices Responded to a Reported Assault Near Tashmoo Avenue and Maness Court About 8:30 am Jan. 10, Said police. After Investigating, Officers Had Groups to Arrest a Man, but he retredied inside a Nearby Home.
Emergency Responsible and Dog Teams, A Negotiator, and Other Officers Were Called in, Police Said. The Man Later Surrendred.

The Man Arrested Recently Pleaded Guilty to Assault, Forcible Confainment, and Disobeying A Court Order, and was sentenced to 115 days in jail. In a stattement the day after the incident, Sarnia Police Chief Derek Davis Said with the benefit of Hindsight, some may have questioned the need to deploy all the font resources they used.
