Sarnia duo charged following 31K drug raid police

Two Sarnia residents are each facing five charges of drug trafficking following a $31,000 drug bust, Sarnia police say.

The vice unit investigated alleged trafficking of cocaine, codeine and oxycodone from a Stuart Street home and saw multiple suspected transactions take place, police said Monday. Around 9 pm this past Wednesday, vice unit and emergency response team officers went into a home in the 100 block with a search warrant.

Officers found more than 17 grams of crystal methamphetamine; 236 LSD squares; 17 bottles of promethazine with codeine; nearly 131 grams of magic mushrooms; more than 3,000 benzodiazepine tabs; and about $1,500 in cash.

Jordan James Martin, 25, and Joshua Patrick Went, 23, both from Sarnia, are facing five counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, police said, but added the investigation is continuing.
