A special city council meeting has been called for Oct. 27.

The 10 am meeting at city hall was called after council’s last meeting, Oct. 16, was cut shorts after Coun. Bill Dennis raged at Mayor Mike Bradley, others on council and a member of the city’s environmental committee.

No bylaws were passed and most items on the agenda were left untouched.

“People need explanations, they need decisions made and that’s a duty we owe them,” Coun. George Vandenberg said about the decision to call a special meeting, instead of waiting for council’s next regular meeting Nov. 20.

“In all fairness to everyone, we have to get the job done,” he said.

The format of the meeting remains unchanged and will pick up where Oct. 16’s left off, city clerk Amy Burkhart said.
