Sarnia bylaw officer shoved in Rainbow Park: city police

A Sarnia bylaw officer was assaulted Wednesday morning in Rainbow Park.

Bylaw officers were moving items to allow contractors to repair fencing around 9 am when a woman became disruptive, putting items back after they were moved, police said.

A bylaw officer was shoved but wasn’t injured.

A 39-year-old Sarnia woman is charged with assault. She was released on the condition she was not expecting Rainbow Park.

Commercial property gate rammed during Sarnia theft

Sarnia police are looking for a truck used in a theft Tuesday at a business on Scott Road.

Someone backed a flatbed truck through a locked main gate and caused significant damage to an industrial property around 3:50 am

A Lincoln welder valued at $50,000 was attached to the rear of the truck and towed away, police said.

Police are looking for a white, older model Ford or Dodge truck with a flatbed. The truck appeared to have a company logo on the side.

Armed thieves on bicycles sought in Sarnia robbery

Police seek two suspects after an armed robbery Oct. 25 on Lansdowne Street.

Two men in disguise burst into a detached garage around 10:35 pm. One had a “Glock style” handgun and the other a machete, police said.

The thieves took phones, clothing, computers and tools from the victims and fled on bicycles.

One suspect is described as about five-foot-11, with a medium build. He was wearing all black. The other is about five-foot-five. He was wearing a gray hoodie with a purple bandana.
