Sarah Sjöström and her Johan de Jong Skierus got married in September.
Now the husband has gone and changed his appearance.
Some would probably argue that he looks like a completely different person.
As a 14-year-old, he became a swimmer Sarah Sjostrom known both in Sweden and outside Europe, after his EC gold in the 100 meter butterfly in Eindhoven. Since then, the 31-year-old has been one of our most popular and noticed athletes. During her career, she has won six Olympic medals, almost 100 EC and WC medals (both long and short track included) and set several world records.
Sarah Sjöström got married in September
In September, Sarah married her Johan de Jong Skierus35, a former fencer whom she had been with for several years. They were married in Tuscany on September 28. The couple has also bought a house together on Lidingö, which they are now renovating together.
– It was truly magical. It turned out so much better than we could have imagined. Just a three-day wedding with pre-party, wedding and after-party was absolutely incredible. I wasn’t nervous at all. I didn’t feel like there was much that could go wrong. We had such an incredible team around us, Sarah Sjöström told Expressen at the beginning of October.

In fact, the couple had already practiced getting married once, as an official marriage certificate was required for them to marry abroad. So the papers were signed in Sweden some time before the big party trip to Italy.
– The media say that we have been married before. But we have not married before. We got married on September 28th. Before that, it was formal. My ring says September 28th. I have not called my husband my husband until then. It has been nothing but legal. The unromantic thing happened before. We signed the papers in the parking lot and then it was nothing more than “yes, yes, now we’re going home,” she said.

Almost two months after the wedding, husband Johan de Jong Skierus is almost unrecognizable. Both himself and Sarah show off his new look on Instagram. Many who try something new may buy new clothes, start exercising or cut their hair. But the husband has done something even more daring.
In true November spirit, he has grown a neat moustache. Many men acquire mustaches this month to draw attention to classic male diseases, especially prostate cancer, and to support research into these diseases. We do not know if this is precisely why Sjöström’s husband chose to grow out the hair on his upper lip, but it is not unthinkable. What we do know, however, is that he looks really good in a handsome “musche”. In normal cases, he usually has a full beard, alternatively is clean-shaven.
