While Sarah Jessica Parker has always been showing perfect beauty looks since Sex & The City, there’s one area of beauty she doesn’t like: manicures. The actress revealed why she doesn’t wear nail polish, just like her character Carrie Bradshaw.
Sarah Jessica Parker recently gave an interview to the American site Glamourrevealing why Carrie Bradshaw, the fashionista she plays in Sex & The City, doesn’t appreciate having her nails done. And the reason is surprising.
Carrie Bradshaw doesn’t have time for a manicure
While season 2 of And Just Like That… (reboot from Sex & The City) has just been broadcast, the beautystas noticed that the character of Carrie Bradshaw had a particular beauty since she never wears nail polish. Sarah Jessica Parker, who has played her since 1998, revealed the very simple and pragmatic reasons of this choice. Manicures for Carrie”seemed futile because they would always be damaged and an obstacle for the rapid writing of his thoughts”, she confided. The other reason is the filming schedule. “We don’t shoot in order either. You move from scene to scene, so speaking of practicality, it is problematic to have a nail polish color that matches each scene“, underlined the actress who still showed herself with colored nails during the last episodes. “I thought it would be interesting to do, given the outfits and the environment in which these scenes take place”said the star.
Sarah Jessica Parker can’t put on nail polish
This beauty gap adopted by Carrie Bradshaw on the screen is also part of the daily life of Sarah Jessica Parker who is not a fan of manicures. In an interview with pacethe American explained that she was not very good at applying nail polish. “I never do my nails and I hardly ever do my hair. And I’ve probably had polish on my nails twice in ten years. That’s it. I only do manicures when I’m working and I do a butcher work when I make them at home”, she said. The only manicure she wears: a nude varnish on natural, short and filed nails. Nothing more !
