Sarah and Brett were to cross the Atlantic – found dead

The couple Brett Clibbery and Sarah Packwood set out on their dream trip and were supposed to sail across the Atlantic – but disappeared.
Almost a month later, they were washed ashore.
“They were amazing people and there is nothing that can fill the hole that their so far inexplicable passing has left behind,” the son and bonus son write in a post on
Facebook.

British couple Brett Clibbery and Sarah Packwood were on their way from Canada to Portugal in their sailboat.

On June 11, they boarded at Halifax Harbor in Canada and on their joint Youtube channel you could follow the journey. But suddenly they disappeared.

Found dead in lifeboat

On June 18, they were reported missing and almost a month later, on July 10, they were found dead. The son confirms this in a post on Facebook.

“The last few days have been very difficult. My father James Brett Clibbery and his wife Sarah Justine Packwood have sadly passed away,” he writes.

The couple was found dead in a lifeboat washed up on the island of Sable Island, about 180 km southeast of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, writes Sky News.

“Will always be missed”

The bodies have not been identified, but most indications are that they are the ones found.

A formal DNA test will be carried out to confirm the identities and police are investigating the incident.

“They were amazing people and there is nothing that can fill the hole that their so far inexplicable passing has left behind,” writes the son and continues:

“I miss your smiles. I miss your voices. You will always be missed.”
