EU parliamentarian Sara Skyttedal (KD) breaks her silence after the sting.
– I was confronted with something that only exists in Ebba Busch’s imagination, says Skyttedal in SVT’s interview program 30 minutes.
Skyttedal says that there was a clear plan from the party’s side to depose her, writes SVT Nyheter.
According to Skyttedal’s own statement, she has given an account of the contacts she had with the Sweden Democrats and that they were only about informal conversations.
She fights back accusations that she would have tried to get on SD’s list for the EU elections.
– I have absolutely made no demands about it, nor received such an offer, she says in the interview.
Skyttedal was poked on Friday as the top candidate on the Christian Democrats’ list for the EU elections. According to the party, she has been in contact with the Sweden Democrats about getting an assignment.
– The way she acted has been damaging to trust, said party leader Ebba Busch at the time.
