Santa’s Parade of Lights comes to Stratford this Sunday

Santa Claus is coming to town this Sunday as part of Stratford’s annual Santa’s Parade of Lights.

Running from 5 pm to 7 pm on Dec. 3, the parade’s 53 floats will make their way around the Avon River (Lake Victoria) in downtown Stratford. The parade will begin at Hillcrest Drive and William Street and move toward Lakeside Drive North, across Festival Bridge and west along Lakeside Drive past the Festival Theater before ending at the Tom Patterson Theatre.

Santa will be the final float in the parade and is expected to arrive at the Tom Patterson Theater by 6 pm The entire parade route will be closed to traffic starting at 3 pm

To ensure the health and safety of participants and observers, parade floats will not be permitted to hand out anything to attendees along the parade route and walking into the route by the public is strictly prohibited.

Stratford Transit’s on-demand service will be extended on Dec. 3 until 7:30 pm to accommodate parade attendees.
