The address of Iron Gate Hospital (Majadahonda) has reported the theft of 14 endoscopes valued at around 400,000 euros in hospital facilities. The investigation area of the Civil Guard is now studying the theft of the material, which occurred Monday March 14 at night.
The hospital reported the events two days later, on March 16, at the Majadahonda Civil Guard Command. The management of the hospital has confirmed that the theft has not affected healthcareas the center was able to quickly obtain additional material to continue its activity.

The Civil Guard has already initiated an investigation into the events and does not rule out any hypothesis. This robbery joins the recently registered Hospital Nursing Isabel Zendal, with two nurses arrested last week for stealing medical supplies valued at several thousand euros on his last day of work.
The Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, has indicated that the Community of Madrid is “concerned” about robberies. So far this year there have been several robberies in hospital centers of sanitary material. At the end of last year there was also the theft of 16 endoscopic machines valued at almost half a million euros University Hospital of La Paz.
“There is concern because it is the third robbery that occurs in Madrid hospitals. It seems that they are thefts very targeted to this material and it has already been reported to the Civil Guard,” Escudero said.
