Sandra Näslund misses the final – for the first time since 2020

Sandra Näslund started this year’s season like last when she won the ski cross premiere in Val Thorens in superior style last Thursday.

The following day, the winning streak of 19 consecutive World Cup wins was suddenly broken. The star aimed to get revenge on Tuesday night, but instead she was already eliminated in the semi-finals.

– Oh, what a shock, commented Rickard Olsson in Viaplay’s broadcast.

Expert Lars Lewén filled in:

– Yes, it actually was. We weren’t really prepared for that. It was a shame – after that start.

It is the first time since February 2020 that Näslund misses a final at the World Cup. The Swede then won the B final.

Näslund also lost her lead in the overall World Cup with the final miss, where Marielle Berger Sabbatel is the new leader after her second place in the A final.
