The men’s hunting start in the Biathlon World Cup was a real shocker. Sebastian Samuelsson took home the bronze after climbing throughout the race and finally sprinting down Norwegian Tarjei Bö.
Samuelsson shot flawlessly in the first three rounds and entered fourth when the last standing shot was to be fired. It was a real shooting drama where many biathletes missed. Sebastian Samuelsson missed two shots, but so did the Norwegians Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen and Tarjei Bö, which meant that the three had to settle for the bronze place.
Samuelsson’s jerk gave bronze
In the end, it was Samuelsson and Tarjei Bö who approached the race – and the Swede’s pull was enough to be the first to cross the finish line.
The overwhelming winner was the younger Johannes Tignes Bö, who was able to parade across the finish line ahead of his compatriot Sturla Holm Laegreid.
