Samuel Fröler plays Werner in “Strandhotellet”

Samuel Fröler is successful as the hotel’s owner Werner Gyllenmark in the series “Strandhotellet”, which is one of the most watched original series on Viaplay. For News24 he has told about how he works in the role of Werner in “Strandhotellet”.

– It is a kind of interaction with lines, situation and myself. I’m trying to find some kind of believable line in it. Then I have a certain type of characteristic, of course, but I don’t have any tricks in that way, it’s a job after all. You read the text and try to get it into your body, explains Fröler and continues:

– It is a physical display and a physical form of communication that you are trying to find. I have quite a lot of opinions on the script and dialogue, so that it is believable and works based on the situation and based on the character. So already there, there is work that helps me get into the character.

Many also recognize Samuel Fröler as the friendly archipelago doctor Johan Steen. “The Archipelago Doctor” premiered in 1997 on SVT, and both the series and Samuel Fröler were loved by the entire Swedish people when it was broadcast.

But will we see some kind of reunion or remake of “The Archipelago Doctor”? Samuel Fröler has told Nyheter24.

– Yes, we talked about it about five years ago, and it went quite far. SVT was going to do it, but I think they fell over rights issues. So nothing happened. And it was a bit sad because it could probably have been made into something really good, I think. Just that it would be: “What happened next?”, and that everyone is involved. It also establishes itself quite well in some kind of rural environment. You could have gathered a lot there by talking about the environment today and society today.

– I think there would have been the conditions to do something even better, actually. Had we managed that pound, as the idea was, I think we could have done something very good with it.
