Samsung Galaxy phones have a lot of features. Some you use every day, some you’ve probably never used.

There are several features that can make your Samsung Galaxy perform better. If you’ve noticed that your phone has gotten a little slower lately, there are some relatively unknown settings that can help.

Samsung: Use the feature

On its website recommends Samsung its customers to start using a function called unit care.

Namely, it can prevent your Galaxy from crashing, let you keep track of your phone’s performance, and give you an overview of battery, storage, RAM, and security.

To access unit care, go to the app Settings and chooses Battery and device care.

Quickly optimize

Here are several things you can do to make sure your mobile is as healthy as possible.

First of all, you can do a so-called quick optimization. It identifies apps that use too much battery, clears unnecessary items from memory, deletes unnecessary files and closes apps running in the background.

When you are in Battery and device care you can press Optimize now to quickly optimize. Then you click on Clear.

Optimize battery life

Another feature that is also useful in Battery and device care is the power saving mode. This allows you to optimize your phone’s battery life.

Press on Battery and then on Energy saving mode. Choose one of the following options:

  • High performance: Higher system speed, maximum screen brightness and resolution. Higher battery consumption.
  • Optimized: Get the recommended balance between performance and battery life.
  • Medium energy saving: Extend battery life by limiting certain functions.
  • Maximum battery saving: Save as much battery as possible.

    Clear memory and storage space

    You can also clear the storage and memory of your Samsung phone in device care.

    To clear storage, tap Storage and then on the category that has the items you want to delete. Mark the circles and tick the items you want to remove. Pressure Remove when you have made your selections and then select Remove again to confirm.

    To clear the memory, go to Storage and press Clear now to clean memory and stop apps running in the background.
