The CES starts on January 5th in Las Vegas. In the run-up to the start of the trade fair, Samsung has now presented a curious invention. An AI oven that, in addition to all sorts of smart features, also offers you the option of streaming pictures of your food directly to Twitch.
What kind of oven is that? The “Samsung Bespoke AI Oven” is a new “smart” oven that aims to impress consumers with promising features. There is a lot of smart technology that ensures that the oven can prepare your food without any effort on your part.
The oven uses an integrated camera for this purpose. The images are analyzed and the oven recognizes what you want to cook. Software then determines the temperature, cooking time, convection, bottom and top heat, etc.
But it is interesting that Samsung has found another use for the integrated camera. You can also use them to share a live stream from the oven directly on Twitch or other social media channels.
What is CES? The Consumer Electronic Show is one of the largest trade fairs for consumer electronics, to which experts, industry insiders and journalists are invited. It has been held in Las Vegas every January since 1998. Therefore, the CES is an important indicator that shows how the industry could develop in the coming months and years.

Why is Samsung building an oven that lets you stream? Although Samsung wants to specifically address influencers in its advertising materials, the oven is not a product that is aimed exclusively at streamers. It is much more likely that the marketing team only came up with the idea afterwards that the camera built into the oven could also be used for streaming.
From a purely technical point of view, Samsung offers an ingenious solution for Twitch cooks. They can easily add another perspective to their streams and thus have real added value.
Therefore, the product could become particularly popular with streamers. The “Just Chatting” category on Twitch has been booming for years. Many viewers enjoy the cooking streams and there are some streamers who only broadcast from their kitchen. WoW and Twitch veteran Asmongold has a similar sentiment, believing that the future of Twitch is made up of cooking shows and reality.
So it’s no longer surprising that Samsung believes it can fill a gap in the market with its new oven.
