Samsung has many apps that they developed themselves and which are therefore only available in Samsung devices.
Some popular examples are Smart Switch, Samsung Wallet, Samsung Find and Samsung Internet.

Samsung DeX
Another popular Samsung app is Samsung DeX.
It allows users to connect their phone or tablet to a larger screen, such as a Smart TV or a computer.
Now, however, Samsung has announced that the app will stop working on some devices.

The app shuts down – they are touched
On its British homepage the tech giant writes that DeX will stop being supported on computers with Windows as an operating system.
Instead, Samsung invites PC users to connect the mobile phone to the computer via the app Link to Windowswhich has similar functionality.
DeX will stop working on Windows when the Android 15-based Samsung update One UI 7 launches. It is expected to be in January or February 2025.
