Samsung Neo QLED and QLED TVs are a first in

Samsung 2024 Neo QLED and QLED Seven models in the series broke new ground in the industry by receiving True Cinema Black and HDR Brightness Accuracy certificates from the German electrical engineering certification institute Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE).

Samsung’s six 2024 Neo QLED 8K and 4K models, plus one QLED 4K received the industry’s first HDR Luminance Accuracy certification. The certification shows that these models accurately reproduce brightness levels in HDR content, maintain HDR standards and offer image quality close to the perception of the human eye. HDR technology enhances both the light and dark areas of the content, providing details and realistic images that make movies come alive. Seven models in Samsung’s 2024 Neo QLED and QLED series received the True Cinema Black certificate, which indicates regional dimming performance, breaking new ground in home entertainment and setting a new benchmark in the industry. The certificate is awarded by a precise evaluation of black levels in the Letterbox area of the screen. Superior local dimming performance eliminates unwanted light rays, ensuring that movies are watched as intended, with deep blacks and vivid details, close to the cinema experience.
