Samsung Is Working On New 1 Inch Sensors

According to news for the tech world, Samsung is working on four new high-end sensors. 50 MP GN6, 200 MP HP7, an unknown 320 MP sensor and also 440 MP Working on HU1, Samsung wants to advance the technology world in the future.

Samsung’s 50MP sensor is said to be too expensive for Samsung’s own products, so it will likely be adopted by other manufacturers. It seems that the 400 MP and 320 MP sensors that Samsung is working on will not be used on Samsung model phones for now.

The 320 MP camera may eventually be available for the Galaxy S series once development is complete, though the forecaster looks like it will be on the Galaxy S26 Ultra or higher at the earliest, but it’s hard for us to see those sensors on a Samsung phone for now.

Finally, the 200 MP HP7 sensor was originally planned to complement the Galaxy S25 Ultra, as it has slightly larger pixels and has slightly improved image quality over the existing 200 MP HP2 sensor inside the Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, it’s worth remembering that just like the 1-inch sensor, this one is too expensive to manufacture for Samsung to consider for its own smartphones.

Although all these sensors show great promise for the technology world, their costs seem to be quite high. We will see which smartphones and which companies will use it in the future.
