Apple’s competitor, Samsung, has taken an important step for its users who want to repair their Galaxy models. The company has formed a new partnership with iFixit, where it provides genuine parts, repair tools and repair manuals to customers who request it.

Samsung’s new program is similar to the “Self Service Repair” repair program that Apple introduced last year. Apple’s program also aims to enable users to make their own repairs by supplying parts and repair manuals.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES WITH APPLE’S PROGRAM?
Apple’s program is initially available for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. However, Apple plans to offer repair options for other devices. Like Apple’s repair program, Samsung’s repair program is currently limited to certain devices.
HERE ARE THE DEVICES
According to reports, Samsung and iFixit will provide repair parts for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 and Tab S7 Plus, but interestingly, Galaxy S22 models will not.
The company plans to launch its program in the summer and, like Apple, plans to support other devices over time.
