New Samsung Galaxy S25 are finally official. The Korean manufacturer took advantage of its conference “Galaxy Unpacked” on Wednesday January 22 to unveil its three new smartphones which will be available very soon. The latter always rely on software experience and photography to win on an increasingly competitive high -end market. This year more than ever, Samsung takes the bet of artificial intelligence and headdress at the Apple post with multiple options that will make you rethink your use of your phone.
In addition to the three new Galaxy S25, Samsung took advantage of the evening to unveil a new project: the S25 Edge. Scheduled for the year 2025, this new smartphone presents itself as a much finer device than other Samsung phones. What are the new features of the Samsung Galaxy S25?
Samsung announces three new high -end smartphones for 2025. All three are equipped with a few new features compared to the previous generation, but mainly bet on artificial intelligence to stand out from their other competitors at Android or Apple:
- Samsung Galaxy S25
- Samsung Galaxy S25+
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
More power for all Samsung Galaxy S25
First let’s talk about power. The three Samsung Galaxy S25 are provided with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This is the last chip cut in 3 Nm from the Qualcomm company and one of the most powerful currently on the market. If this processor should guarantee excellent fluidity within your applications and video games, it will be necessary to see in the long term if it does not have a big impact on the autonomy of the Samsung Galaxy S25.
In addition to this new processor, Samsung has announced that all Galaxy S25 are equipped with a basic 12 GB of RAM. Good news since last year, the basic model of the S24s had only 8 GB.
Finer and rounded designs
Regarding design, Samsung has opted for hegemony within the S25 range which are now all found with rounded and softened edges. The ultra model is therefore no longer equipped with rectangular corners which could interfere during certain handles. The screen size of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra also increases from 6.8 inches to 6.9 inches. The photo sensors are also a little thicker compared to the previous generation.
But above all, the Samsung Galaxy S25 are all finer than their counterparts from last year. Samsung announces that it has reduced the thickness of the three products by 0.4 mm (approximately 15%).
Fully on artificial intelligence with Galaxy IA
If the material improvements are present, Samsung has still passed a large part of its presentation of the Galaxy S25 to boast the merits of its homemade artificial intelligence: Galaxy AI. Unveiled with great fanfare in 2024 with the arrival of S24s, this solution is enriched by many new features for the release of the Galaxy S25 with in particular:
- The possibility of using writing tools on any application or keyboard, not only Samsung.
- “Now Brief” that summarizes your day with your upcoming events, how to get there, your energy score at the moment, your birthdays to wish, etc …
- “Surround to seek” which now identifies useful information such as phone numbers, hypertext links to open or places to calculate the route on Google Maps.
- The audio gum which allows you to analyze and remove the sounds of your videos according to your desires (the ambient noise, the discussions, the wind, etc …).
- “Best pose” that spots the different photos you capture and replace the faces of your choice with others that would make it better.
- “Creation tool” which allows you to generate images according to a drawing or text.
A dynamic notch called “Now Bar”
The “Now Bar” is a small capsule located at the bottom of your locking screen and whose use is very close to the “Dynamic Island” which is found on the recent iPhones. You can find your current applications there, but in a reduced format to access it quickly. The “Now Bar” can notably offer a mini music player, your itinerary or the weather of the moment. It is compatible with multiple Samsung or third -party applications like Spotify.
Photographs up to 34% brighter
If the previous Galaxy S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra were already named as among the best photophones on the market, Samsung does not intend to rest on his laurels. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is equipped with three different sensors for photo versatility:
- Wide angle sensor: 200 Mpx.
- Ultra wide angle sensor: 50 Mpx.
- Telephoto sensor (x5): 50 MPX.
Among the new features mentioned, Samsung specifies that a new image processing algorithm and better focal length allow the Ultra S25 to capture up to 34% more light compared to the previous generation. The videographers will also appreciate being able to film in LOG and HDR-10BITS format as well as to take advantage of new ultra fluid transitions between the different zooms.
An unchanged battery and refills
Regarding autonomy, all Samsung Galaxy S25 are equipped with the same battery capacities as their predecessors as well as the same recharge compatibility:
- Samsung Galaxy S25: 4000 mAh / load 25 W
- Samsung Galaxy S25: 4900 mAh / Charge 45 W
- Samsung Galaxy S25: 5000 mAh / 45 W load
According to Samsung, these capacities would allow the three phones to have a maximum of 31 hours of video player in good conditions.
Prices that do not evolve for the Samsung Galaxy S25
Good news, despite the new features integrated into the Samsung Galaxy S25, this generation does not provide a price increase compared to previous high -end smartphones from the manufacturer. The recommended sales rates are as follows:
