Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch chipset is the W930. It’s the same model number of the W920 used in the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch5 series, suggesting that the W930 will likely have better performance while keeping the same hardware.
The W930 supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi. It will be built on the same 5nm process as the W920 that currently powers Samsung’s wearables. The certification says the processor needs an additional RF chip for a complete Bluetooth + Wi-Fi solution.
The name W980, which we have heard often before, was only a temporary name and the name of the last chip will be W930. Other news is that the W980 will be a high-end SoC still in development.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Watch6 family with the Wear OS 4-based OneUI 5 Watch. on July 26 will introduce. The technology world has already turned its eyes to this promotion.
