The World Rally Championship will continue in Sweden with a competition on Thursday evening. The first full -time in the main category Sami Pajari Going to the competition with good spirits, even though the season opener in Monte Carlo ended up unfortunately for her.
– Important experience came. Went as it should have been until Sunday. Then came a small slip. Of course it was annoying, Pajari describes.
The Swedish World Rally rally is waiting to make a different level. Can we even expect a prize moneyer?
– I’ve heard that more have thrown it. In Jyväskylä, I was fourth in the first race last year. I guess people then see that the podium should be coming right away. I think more moderately. If the feeling is good, then of course it is allowed to go, but not too high, Pajari reassures.
Throughout the season, Pajari is calm.
– It is not terribly easy to set the entire season. Let’s go at a time. I do not set any clear goal to get a podium investment. It can come, but I don’t force it by the goal. Now the goal is to develop all the time.
One of the biggest topics in the early part of the season has been the tires of the new tire manufacturer Hankook. Pajari is positive about them.
– There was a surprisingly good feeling about the tires. Of course, there are quite different tires in Sweden. There’s probably getting used to everyone. If the tire behaves differently, things in recent years cannot be used so clearly. However, this brings a good spice. As a newcomer to me, it is not a bad thing, Pajari says.
Toyota has last risen to the highest podium three years ago at the Swedish World Rally. Ott Tänak won in 2023 at M-Sport’s Ford steering wheel and last year Ykkönen had driven Esapekka Lapland.
Toyota acquired more information about snow conditions when Kalle Rovanperä Went the other weekend to race the fell rally. According to Pajar, it provided interesting and valuable information.
“The situation may not seem as clear as previous years as followed the results of the fell,” Pajari estimated last week at the Jyväskylä World Rally Route Trail.

This season, the Jyväskylä World Rally will see an interesting thing as the race ends with a twice-driven legendary Ouninpohja special stage.
Pajar’s colleague Kalle Rovanperä recently made the closing day unique in the World Rally Championship, with Ouninpohja, one of the most difficult and most legendary special stages twice the culmination of the race.
The podium celebration is also held in the same area near the Kakaristo intersection.
23-year-old Pajari got to taste Ouninpohja for the first time with Rally1 last year. At that time, Ouninpohja was driven in a traditional 33 kilometer version, but now a shorter version of about 24 kilometers for TV production reasons is coming.
According to Pajar, even in a shorter version, you have to cheer because it is demanding too. Concentration must be in good shape at high speeds all the time.
– This is an interesting experiment. Within kilometers, the day is not short, even if you just drive that one piece twice. It’s a sweet clip. It’s fun to have such a challenge. There you can certainly make decisions there, Pajari describes.
