Salwan Najem, 48, is said to have been at the scene but was not attacked.
In the Koran-burners’ own social media, Salwan Momika is said to be bleeding from the face.
The police confirm that at 1:37 p.m. on Monday, they were alerted to Södertälje center after reports of an assault. However, they do not want to confirm who the plaintiff is or whether he already has a threatening image against him.
– One person has been hit. I know that an ambulance was on the scene, but I don’t know if the person needed to go by ambulance. We have been on the scene and talked to the plaintiff and we have started a preliminary investigation regarding assault based on the information we have obtained, says Per Fahlström, press spokesperson at the police in Stockholm County.
According to the police, the perpetrator ran away from the scene.
– No one is deprived of liberty in the case, says Per Fahlström.
