Triple jumper Senni Salminen won her event at the international indoor competitions with the season’s best domestic result of 14.07.

Senni Salminen opened the competition season strongly in Aarhus, Denmark on Tuesday. The triple jumper used another 12 steps of speed in the competition and put in an even series of results 14.07, 13.77, 13.72, 13.83, x and 13.96.

– It was thought that I would use a pace of 14 steps only in the next race. Now I used another 12 steps of pace so that there would be no problems with the timings, Salminen said in the Sports Federation’s press release.

For Salmi, the competition was the first since the Paris Olympics, where the competition ended with a qualification due to a muscle injury in the training jump.

– Fortunately, it was a muscle injury. It was rehabilitated and I have been training well since then. It was nice to jump six jumps and I was also satisfied with the number of jumps, Salminen pointed out that there was only one overstepped.

Salminen is starting his term of office in good shape.

– Speed ​​jumps and other records have been set. The running is not at its best yet, but it will get there, Salminen said.

With the speed of six steps, Salminen says that he has jumped more than 20 meters in the water jump and from his place more than 15:20.
