“It is great to sit on the jury for Sweden’s most important music prize for songwriters and composers, especially during an anniversary year. It is also an honor to represent hip-hop in the jury work. A controversial genre with great significance for Swedish cultural life,” says Salla Salazar, producer and artist in the hip-hop group The Latin Kings.
The music publishers’ award, now celebrating its 20th anniversary, pays tribute to Swedish songwriters, composers and lyricists. An independent jury selects composer, lyricist, international success, breakthrough and song of the year.
The award ceremony takes place on November 10 in Stockholm.
