For the first time, the Stephen King story is adapted into a movie
Stephen King’s second novel was published in 1975 under the German title Salem Must Burn and has been adapted twice as a miniseries (including by Texas Chainsaw Massacre director Tobe Hooper). Gary Dauberman (Annabelle 3) has now dared to make the first feature-length adaptation for the American streaming service Max. He has set the story in the 1970s. Based on the trailer, this could benefit the atmosphere.

His arrival coincides with the purchase of the house by Kurt Barlow (William Sadler), an ancient vampirewho uses his human confidant Richard Straker (Pilou Asbæk) to transform the town’s citizens. As more and more residents are turned into vampires, Mears and his human allies are caught in a fight for their lives.Salem’s Lot has a cinema release in Germany on Halloween
