Saipem contracts in the Middle East for 125 billion dollars

(Finance) – Saipema service and solutions company for the energy and infrastructure sector, was awarded several contracts, both onshore and offshore, in the Middle East for a value of approx 1,250 million dollars. The first group of contracts concerns the extension of onshore drilling contracts in the Middle East for a total amount of approximately 600 million dollars.

The awards concern theten-year extension of existing contracts relating to four land rigs located in the Middle East. The land rigs, with power between 1,500 and 2,000 HP, will be used for exploration and production activities in various oil and gas fields, in continuity with ongoing operations in the area.

Furthermore, Saipem has been selected for the award of four new contracts in the Middle East. The scope of the work includes the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of several offshore jackets, bridges, subsea pipelines, composite underwater cables, umbilicals, fiber optic cables and brownfield modifications. The total value of the contracts is approximately $ 650 million.
