The discipline of the Ice Hockey Championship League banned SaiPa’s Henri Nikkasen for one match.
SaiPa’s forward in the ice hockey league Henri Nikkanen was suspended for the second time this season. The league’s disciplinary delegation suspended Nikkanen for one game after the forward tackled the Pelicans Miika Roinetta.
Nikkanen has only played eight matches in SaiPa’s shirt. In the Pelicans match played on Friday, he received a game penalty for a knee tackle on Roine.
– Since there is a clear push of the knee forward in the situation and the resulting strong hit to the opponent, the disciplinary delegation considers that Nikkanen has recklessly endangered the opponent with his tackle and it is appropriate to order a ban for the tackle, the disciplinary delegation stated in the League’s announcement.
In December, Nikkanen was suspended for one match by Tappara Otto Leskinen from a tackle on the head. Nikkanen, who previously represented Jukurei and Pelicans in the league, moved to SaiPa from the Winnipeg Jets NHL organization.
