SaiPa made club history eighth consecutive victory and second

This time, Ilves dominated Tampere’s local match.

SaiPa’s incredible streak in the hockey SM league continues. SaiPa beat KalPa 2–1 and made club history by grabbing the eighth consecutive victory. The people of Lappeenranta are already second in the league.

SaiPa started strongly and KalPa took a timeout after only 3:43 of the match had been played. It didn’t help though, as just six seconds after that Otto Kivenmäki took SaiPa to the lead.

At the beginning of the third period Antti Kalapudas hit 2–0. KalPan Jaakko Rissanen narrowed at the end, when the Kuopio team played without a goalkeeper.

SaiPa’s new acquisition, a goalkeeper who has played 153 NHL games Michael Hutchinson was still sitting on the bench. SaiPan played with the goal Kari Piiroinen.

This time, Ilves dominated the Tampere local match and beat Tappara 4–0. Matias Mantykivi led Ilves in the opening set. In the second set, the American striker who played his first game in Ilves’ shirt Lukas Svejkovsky struck with superiority and increased the lead to 2–0.

In the third set, Ilves struck twice more. Svejkovsky scored his second goal and Eemeli Finland 4–0 at the end of a spectacular attack. The first meeting of the season was won by Tappara 5–1.

Last in the series, Jukurit lost to Kärpi 0–2. HPK beat Pelicans 5–2. TPS beat Sport 2–1 after the winning goal competition.
