Focus on… Le coq Maurice

The story made the headlines in the international press: that of the Rooster Maurice, who despite himself had become a spokesperson for the animal world, a symbol of rurality. The country opera, imagined by Julien Masmondet in the musical direction, retraces the improbable story of the legal adventures of the Rooster Maurice, dragged to justice by neighbors who no longer support his singing. The composer Pascal Zavaro, with the complicity of Mathieu Pattedoie for the libretto, the conductor Julien Masmondet and the director Catherine Dune offer a country opera accessible to all.
