Sadiq confirms move: “Will be my last game”

There have been transfer rumors surrounding Ibrahim Sadiq for quite some time. And the latest ones seem to be right.

According to The evening paper only details remain in the transfer to the Dutch big club AZ Alkmaar.

Now Ibrahim Sadiq confirms he is just a medical away from signing for another club. Which one he prefers not to say.

“Leaving tomorrow”

He first suggests that it is about a Dutch club, but then changes his mind.

— It is true that they want to sign a contract with me, I am going tomorrow (Monday) to have a medical examination. But I don’t want to say which club, because it’s not official yet, he says after Häcken’s derby loss against IFK Göteborg.

Häcken recently sold Kristoffer Lund to Palermo and during the season has also sold, for example, Bénie Traoré to Sheffield United.

Paying tribute to the supporters

Now Hisingsklubben seems to be close to another big player deal.

Already after the home game against Aberdeen last Thursday, Ibrahim Sadiq remained with the Häcken supporters for a long time. After the loss at Gamla Ullevi, he took another leave.

“Häcken’s supporters have meant a lot,” he says.

With the change of club, a few busy days await the 23-year-old Ghanaian. On Monday, his new club will examine him. On Tuesday, he travels back to Gothenburg and a day later travels with Häcken to Scotland for the return against Aberdeen on Thursday.

— It will be my last match for Häcken. It feels great, I’ve worked hard for this. Where I’m going is a dream for me, I want to play there and now it’s happening, he says.
