The Social Democrats will request that Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) come to the defense committee to answer questions about the national security advisor Henrik Landerholm, who caused several security incidents.
Peter Hultqvist, chairman of the defense committee and defense policy spokesperson for the Social Democrats, will raise the issue at the committee’s meeting next Thursday.
– I will raise the issue of calling the prime minister to the defense committee to give an account of the tours regarding Landerholm, says Peter Hultqvist.
– I think there are a lot of questions that need to be answered.
Two years ago, Landerholm forgot documents locked in a cupboard on a course farm after an internal conference. According to Dagens Nyheter, it was about four classified documents, of which at least one was security classified.
DN has also revealed that at the end of 2022 Landerholm forgot a mobile phone at the Hungarian embassy overnight and that a notebook was left behind after an interview on Sveriges Radio in January 2023.
– There is a degree of carelessness about Landerholm’s actions that we do not think is acceptable, says Hultqvist.
Do you assume that the committee will listen to your request?
– I would be surprised if other members did not have this interest. We want to put the cards on the table and that should be in everyone’s interest.
