s joke with Systembolaget creates strong reactions among customers: Crying…

It was only a few weeks ago that Systembolaget announced that after 56 years they will stop using their seat bags.

This is because they want to reduce their environmental and climate footprint.

Therefore Systembolaget refuses to say which goods will be more expensive

In a Facebook post, Systembolaget wrote that their relationship with the plastic bag became “unsustainable”. In 2022, Systembolaget produced plastic bags whose combined carbon dioxide emissions corresponded to 112 laps around the world by airplane. The company has had its plastic bags since 1967, but now it is over.

Customers are now encouraged to shop with their own carry-on bag instead.

And the reactions that have trickled in over the past few days, yes it is indeed a compote of scattered showers. Many consider it all “unnecessary” and “PK-hypocrisy”, while others consider it all a necessary straw to add to the climate stack.

After the news came out, Ica chose to post a well-directed joke about the whole thing. This via an Instagram video.

In the video, two food boxes are seen standing and looking at a plastic bag from Systembolaget that blows away. This as many people used Systembolaget’s bags to carry their lunch box in.

The video was captioned: “If you love someone, set them free. Thank you for the best lunch box”.

And Systembolaget – yes they delivered an answer of the same caliber when they dusted off a quote from the movie “American beauty” from a scene where it is precisely a plastic bag that flies away.

Systembolaget’s new price shock – a bottle of wine for SEK 119 will be so much more expensive

“Hard to stay mad when there’s so much beauty in the world”.

In the comment field, comments are now pouring in from customers praising both Systembolaget and ICA.

Cool!
