The United States and Russia met in Saudi Arabia to discuss Ukraine’s future – but neither Ukraine nor the rest of Europe were invited.
And American tactics are now seen by Carl Bildt, former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.

The talks about the war in Ukraine that the United States has begun with Russia has been implemented with an amateur strategy, says Carl Bildt.
– This is a team of amateurs on this. There is no one in this closer to the American circle that you can identify that has an experience of negotiating with the Russians. And then it’s easy to make this pretty amateurish mistake, he says to Echo.
He believes that the United States has made concessions, even before any negotiations even started.
– The Americans went out before any conversations had been held out and said, no no Ukrainian membership in NATO, no no Ukrainian territorial integrity. It was mildly expressed an innovative way to start negotiations.
Carl Bildt believes that they celebrated big in Russia after conversations with the United States.
– The Russians thanked and received.
– There are malicious rumors that the Kremlin champion is over. They have every reason to be satisfied.
