The Authority for Psychological Defense Director General Magnus Hjort notified Kalla faktas “Undercover in the troll factory” to the Review Board, and met with great criticism.
Now the Social Democrats and the Green Party want to call him to the defense committee.

In Kalla fakta’s attention-grabbing revelation about the troll factory at the Sweden Democrats’ communications department, interviews are shown in which interviewees from MPF speak out about disinformation.
MPF believed that the interviews were taken out of context when the people spoke about foreign undue influence, rather than domestic, and reported the program to the Review Board.
Kalla fakta’s responsible publisher Fredrick Malmberg says that it is clear that the clips are used to portray the debate.
MPF director-general Magnus Hjort initially demanded that the clips be completely deleted from the program, and was accused of censorship after which Hjort said they would change the report.
Want to call the DG to the defense committee
But on Thursday last week, the Left Party announced that their confidence in Hjort is over, and that they are demanding his resignation.
And now the Social Democrats and the Green Party want to call Hjort to the defense committee after his actions in connection with Kalla fakta’s review.
– He is already registered with KU and therefore there are opinions in the committee that he needs to be called to the defense committee. I believe that he has handled this in such a way that there is a breach of trust, and that makes it important that we get to ask him our questions, says Peter Hultqvist (S) to TV4 Nyheterna.
– This was a revelation that TV4 made in normal journalistic order, and when you live in a democracy you have to accept that this kind of thing happens. It belongs to the media’s ability to review. Then you can always have views on details like this, but when you do it the way they did, they become part of a bigger political drama, and that’s not good for an authority.
