Not all boards have yet completed negotiations, so the number applies to the approximately 185 municipalities that are ready, and the figure may therefore rise.
During the last mandate period, the two parties co-governed in fewer than 30 municipalities.
“Difficult to get majority rule”
Anders Sannerstedt, docent in political science at Lund University, tells Ekot that it is difficult to get a majority government without one of the parties.
– And much of the politics in the municipalities is still quite pragmatic, he tells Ekot.
