In his speech at the country days, Jimmie Åkesson directed sharp criticism at the Social Democrats and accused them of being an active part of the Islamist movement in Sweden. Pure lies according to group leader Lena Hallengren (S).

– Incredibly strong stomach, she says.

In the speech, Åkesson addressed the war between Israel and Hamas and said that all of Sweden must stop excusing “un-Swedish, non-democratic and violent value systems.” He claims, and refers to Member of Parliament Jamal El-Haj (S), that the Social Democrats are not clear in their position.

– The Social Democrats are rather an active part of the Islamist movement in Sweden, said Åkesson.

– Now you have your powerful Member of Parliament Jamal El-Haj, who as recently as last spring participated in a Hamas conference here in Sweden.

“Do as Putin”

Extremely strong, according to Lena Hallengren.

– It lacks any form of truth.

She calls Åkesson’s actions “extremely un-Swedish” and likens it to how Putin legitimizes his attacks and his hatred of Ukraine and Zelenskyi.

– Putin says they are Nazis and we think that is an absurd claim here in Sweden. I think Jimmie Åkesson does exactly the same thing when he has an opponent that he finds difficult to handle.

“Pure lies”

Åkesson claimed in the speech that party leader Magdalena Andersson (S) will never be able to become prime minister again without “the Islamists’ votes and support.”

– Exclude members who are unable to keep up the fight against Islamism and anti-Semitism, says Jimmie Åkesson.

The fact that Åkesson expresses such harsh criticism of the Social Democrats in his speech before the country’s Sweden Democrats, Hallengren believes, has to do with the fact that it is about a party that “unfortunately has as its business idea to divide the country, to escalate and drive hatred and threats.”

– I could not hear a comma that was about reconciliation or that he is trying to understand the anxiety that people feel about their finances.

– Not to care about this but to devote himself to spreading pure lies. It is extremely hearty.
